Your fate is in the palm of your hand.
1976, America's Bicentennial year. The ceaseless fireworks set the stage for the domestic battle lines with established elders of past decades feeling under assault by Youth Culture and the seeming dissolution of social order. "Logan's Run", originally published in 1967, solves the little Youth Culture problem by imagining a society which exterminates its citizens by 21 years of age. This first edition paperback is a marketing tie-in with the (now iconic) movie release of the same year and manages to squeeze in 16 full color pages of images from the movie. Veteran Science Fiction and Horror writers, Nolan and Johnson, are responsible for terrifying audiences in both film and television for more than 50 years - long after their palm crystals went red. In 2008, legendary Bantam Books publishers Ian and Elizabeth "Betty" Ballantine were both inducted into the Science Fiction Hall of Fame for their great efforts in bringing the genre to a wider audience.
